Yesterday, along Rt. 110 in Stony Point, NY, (~ 30 miles or 48 km north of NYC,) I came across a curious sight, first noticed years ago in my MGB.
Thanks for viewing, and as usual, Comments are always welcome. M 🙂

Maybe that one was used for Carrier Pigeons??????
He was ahead of his time. Maybe he’s waiting for drone mail! LOL!
Clever . . . although perhaps it should be Air Post.
Some FUNNY comments here!!! Now I know where the un-employed Letterman writers went! M 🙂
I’m full of questions and off to research! LOL – – when was it built? Did barnstormers or crop duster pilots in the 30’s pave the way for Air Mail? Can I picture a massive UPS plane neatly delivering the missives into the box easier than their predecessors did? Hmm…so much to think about – – – LOL
Hmmmm. More pondering! M 🙂
I love this Gag. My grandfather actually put that mail box up there back in the 40’s (n Rte 210) and people love it still. The news paper even had a remote controlled helicopter “deliver” a letter to it one time!! If you can, I’d love the original images to give to my grandmother as a gift!
