Late afternoon on the 48th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing, peace and tranquility abound along the local Rail Trail in Forked River, N.J.
“Tranquility Base here… the Eagle has landed!”
As usual, click on the image for a closer look, find some spider webs, and ponder that this was taken with an i-phone! Thanks for viewing. Comments are always welcome. M 🙂
Saw the web but not the spider.
Hard to believe we are entering an age where superstition and personal “belief” trump science and rationality. We’ll pay for it, of course, but it’s still difficult to watch it happen.
NO spiders. They probably went away the night before. Just remnants of their webs. And…I’ll take the science and rationality. M 🙂
Isn’t it incredible that we can now take photos with a phone that at one time could only be done using high end 35mm camera and lenses. Great shot.
It is a constant wonder. It’s so small, yet capable of producing remarkable images. Thanks for the comment. BTW, I’ve been quite busy lately, I’ve fallen behind on your wonderful travels, and reading in general. But I will be reading about North Carolina exploits shortly – always bookmarked.., as we are heading to the Smokey Mountains later in August to see the Total Eclipse. Marty
You are right, for a small camera the images are incredible. We are always amazed at how technology is making devices smaller and with greater quality. It pleases us that you are following along Marty and we sure do understand how time runs out someday or we should say most days. This is great you will be in the Smokey Mt’s on August 21 for the eclipse. We are heading their in the beginning of August. Great hearing from you and please keep snapping them pictures for us to enjoy.
wow so pretty
Thanks. I was taken aback by the lighting, late afternoon sun filtering through the trees while we walking our dog on the shaded trail to get relief from the heat. M 🙂
