This Afternoon, (12/20/19) – Our Backyard
Below, …a little over a week earlier, this impressive hawk (that had been perched on the same branch as above,) was spooked (by me!) into moving a bit deeper into the trees.
Last image above: Probably about two years old, hawk-eye started acting silly, like any two year old, and in seconds, flew away. Thirteen days later he returned, as captured in the first two pictures at the top.
Thanks to Disperser Tracks for catching my initial error in ID’s this as an Eagle. Live and learn! M 🙁
Thanks for viewing and you can zoom in for a closer look. Comments are always welcome. M 🙂
. . . uh . . . I hate having to be the one to say it, but that’s a Red-tailed hawk (hence the red tail).

In case you miss it, there’s a comment in moderation because of two links.
Thanks for the heads up, EJ, …corrections under way! M 🙂
Need to correct the zoom option on the last few pics also, but, at the risk of our friend Crow Canyon Journal … that’s for another night. My wife (JPS) has been thinking: “Did you wrap the presents yet?” M 🙂
You beat me to it!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
You have to love when the hawks come to you!
